Objectives of the Course
In this course, it is aimed to introduce and teach the graduate student the basic principles of soil improvement methods, selection and application of soil improvement methods for different soil types.

Basic concepts of soil improvement / Compaction theory / Ground stabilization with additives (using lime, lime-fly ash, cement, asphalt and chemicals) / Improving the properties of ground layers / Dynamic compaction, vibroflotation, vibrodisplacement and vibrocompaction methods, preloading and injection methods / Use of geosynthetics / Solid waste storage and clay coatings / Behavior and reclamation of migrant floors.
