Objectives of the Course
To introduce the fundamentals of materials selection, use the charts of materials selection; make to gain the selection skills for the suitable materials selection and processes.

Learning Outcomes
1Be able to question the factors affecting the importance and steps for materials selection according to application area.
2Be able to analyze the properties of strength, toughness, fatigue and creep according to outer effects.
3Be able to read and explain the values read from the various materials selection charts and relate the suitable material.
4Be able to question the relationship between the materials selection and design.
5Be able to analyze one of the materials car buffer, ventilator, spring, pressured vessel, vibration tables, organ prosthesis.
6Be able to explain the relationship between the selection of materials and process and distinguish the related Ashby charts.
