Objectives of the Course
In this course, basic concepts and approaches on traditional Turkish theater and the traditions named as Karagöz, Meddahs, Ortaoyunu, Turkish puppet, Tuluat and village theater will be studied and discussed.

1At the end of the semester, the students will be able to explain and argue basic concepts and approaches on traditional Turkish theater and the traditions named as Karagöz, Meddahs, Ortaoyunu, Turkish puppet and village theater.
2Knows and recognizes the culture in which this literature is produced.
3Gains knowledge about the function and resources of the game.
4Understands the importance of play in human life.
5Knows the basic features of Turkish folk theater.
