2The students who succeeded in this course; will be able to elaborate on the emergence and development of sociology as a scientific discipline.

6will be able to be acquainted with main methods of collecting, organizing and analyzing data in sociological studies.

Temel sosyoloji kavramları eleştirel bir bakış açısı ile işlenecek ve gündelik hayattaki pratiklerle karşılaştırılacaktır. Kültür, toplum, sosyalleşme, toplumsal cinsiyet, sosyal grup, toplumsal yapı, aile, din, eğitim ve toplumsal değişim gibi temel sosyolojik meseleler yerel ve küresel boyutlarda ele alınacaktır
