To have knowledge about basic sociological thought, sociological concept, founding thinkers and research methods that will prepare students for the relevant field.

1Will be able to explain the definitions of sociology, the emergence and development process of sociology as a discipline, and the importance of learning sociology.
2Will be able to comprehend the general structure of groups and society by developing a sociological perspective.
3Will be able to define the methods and techniques used in a sociological research.
4Will be able to explain the basic theories and pioneers in sociology.
5Explains the interaction between individual, society and culture with a sociological perspective.
6Have a sociological perspective on family and gender issues and will be able to explain them from a sociological perspective.
7Explains the development and characteristics of the political institution and evaluates it from a sociological perspective.
8Learns the sociological definitions of religion and evaluates and explains religion from a sociological perspective.
9Explains the development and characteristics of the Education Institution, evaluates it from a sociological perspective.
10Explains the characteristics of the economic institution and evaluates it from a sociological perspective.
