Objectives of the Course
To inform students about philosophy, Islamic philosophy and concepts of Islamic To inform students about philosophy, islamic philosophy and concepts of islamic thought; the Helenist philosophy and schools as a crucial source on İslam philosophy, translations from Helenist and near esat culture in 7.-8. centuries; philosophy schools developed in islamic thought; philosophers like Kindş, Farabi, Ibn Sina, Ihvan-ı Safa, Gazali, Ibn Rüşd, İbn Bacce and their philosophies.Also, analysis of some issues on points where Helenist philosophy and islamic thought cross(like onthology, knowledge, prophecy, faith) in a questioning approach and give the place and importance of these opinions in islamic thought to give the student a questioning understanding

2Becomes familiar with the language of the articles and books about Islam philosophy.
3Gains terminological and conceptual earnings necessary to make dialogues about Islam philosophy (implies general philosophy) issues.

5Becomes curious to the subtlety of the field and developes this later in his/her career.
6Reinterprets the datas gathered from other religious sciences in the light of Islam philosophy.
