Description of Individual Course UnitsCourse Unit Code | Course Unit Title | Type of Course Unit | Year of Study | Semester | Number of ECTS Credits | İ411.4B3 | Computer Aided Reinforced Concrete Building Design I | Elective | 4 | 7 | 5 |
| Level of Course Unit | First Cycle | Objectives of the Course | To examine the reinforced concrete buildings, one of the main working areas of civil engineering, in detail, and accordingly, to raise awareness about the duties and functioning of building elements. To consolidate existing knowledge about the design of reinforced concrete buildings and the evaluation of their structural behavior. To gain familiarity with the regulations and standards used in the design of reinforced concrete buildings. To give information about the current reinforced concrete building design practice. To achieve the ability to use computers in reinforced concrete building design. | Name of Lecturer(s) | Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Mustafa ERGÜN | Learning Outcomes | 1 | Students will have basic information about reinforced concrete buildings. | 2 | Students will gain awareness about the procedures to be done during the preparation phase of the project. | 3 | Students will reinforce their current knowledge of the design of reinforced concrete buildings and the evaluation of their structural behavior. | 4 | Students can use the regulations and standards required to design reinforced concrete buildings. | 5 | Students can design a reinforced concrete building from start to finish using the IdeCAD Static computer package program. | 6 | Students will gain the ability to use computers in the design of reinforced concrete buildings. |
