Dersin Amacı
It is to prepare the students well for the field courses they will see in the next classes by giving basic information about all kinds of civil engineering structures, In addition, it is to present in detail both the design and construction phases of reinforced concrete buildings that civil engineers work most commonly.

1The student will have basic information about structures (bridges, dams, tunnels, highways, railways, buildings, etc.).
2The student will gain awareness about the design principles of reinforced concrete buildings and the stages of preparation for the project.
3The student will gain a general awareness of carrier systems.
4The student will have basic information about the rough work stages of reinforced concrete buildings (excavation works, mold works, rebar steel works, concrete works).
5The student will have basic information about the finishing stages of reinforced concrete buildings.

- To define civil engineering structures, classify each structure within itself, and reveal the construction purposes and techniques. - Examining the buildings, which is one of the main working areas of civil engineering, in detail, and accordingly, raising awareness about the duties and functioning of building elements. - To give information about reinforced concrete building design and construction phases.
