Objectives of the Course
To raise awareness on what religious education is, and what the purpose and nature of religious education as an act.To call attention to the contributions of religious education on the meaning of religion and quality of religious experience in the lives of individuals and communities. To discuss theoretical and practical problems on religious understanding and religious life which the students will probably experience during their life-period; and to encourage them to find a solution to these problems from the perspective of religious education.To provide the students an opportunity to achieve an inventive educational formation, studying critically religious educational understandings acknowledged in the past from the historical perspective, contemporary religious educational approaches today.

Learning Outcomes
1At the completion of this course students will be able to: - find out roles of customs and narratives in the formation of the concept of Allah, studying the historical development of God concept.
2search the meaning of life and make the search vivid.
3communicate the formation and development of religious education as a discipline
4discuss the ground religious education developed, and select methods that may enhance religious development.
5plan religious education in the context of different faith communities, systematize knowledge come from revelation and make it available to educational purposes
6Make use of current sciences in religious education, and relate social, cultural and technical developments with faith
7designate religious educational goals and principles in every stage of development, and develop proper programs.
8define principles for parents and ministers to guide in religious education, and plan informal educational activities
9Develop in-service training programs for religious officers.
10Select and integrate different religious educational approaches for future considering social, cultural and technical improvements.

1Develops practice high skills in creative thinking and critical empathy for a variety of religious traditions as sources of meaning and purpose in the world, and ability to apply these skills in education.
2Develops a capacity to be creative and self-critical in teaching, in peace with environment, understand cultural, cognitive, emotional and social needs of students.
3Knows and apply the academic tools and methods utilized in various disciplines within the field of religion.
4Gains a capacity for critical and empathetic understanding of the texts, practices, histories, theologies, and/or ethics within Islamic Tradition and Global Religious Traditions by locating them within their larger social, cultural, and geographic contexts
5Demonstrates maturing understanding of multiple religious perspectives through critical thinking about and interaction with major religious traditions, this includes encounter with other disciplines and contemporary society
6Has appropriate subject knowledge and understanding for teaching in RE, demonstrate knowledge and understanding at an appropriate level of the underpinning theories of professional practice appropriate for a beginning teacher
7Develops appropriate skills and methods of. effective assessment, teaching and learning and their application to real classroom situations
8Develops capacity to help and guide students to learn and understand issues of fundamental morals, and universal values.
9Develops a capacity for critical thinking, interpersonal skills relevant to multicultural, multireligious social realities, by having a personal philosophy of teaching with an aesthetic understanding of the ethical and legal responsibilities that shape the field of religious and moral education.
10Has an understanding of Islamic history, culture, thought, geography and civilisation in our current setting
