Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to examine the economic importance of energy and natural resources and their place in the economy, to establish the relationship between natural resources, energy and environment. The course also examines how social, economic and political aspects of these issues have been handled throughout the history of mankind and in which frameworks are discussed.

1Students will be able to evaluate the place of energy and natural resources in economic, social and political life.
2Students will be able to discuss the conditions under which the transformation of energy and the use of resources develop, which forms they take, and how they are handled by different thought currents and schools in the process of human development.
3Students will be able to discuss the international dimensions of energy problems.

Course Contents
Climate, agricultural land assets, water resources, mineral resources, energy production, the conditions necessary to be classified as an asset to the source, the classification of natural resources, protection of critical points and resources, problems related to natural resources, demand and supply situation of natural resources, Turkey's energy resources (traditional and renewable), ecological balance, externalities and public goods, environmental problems and the situation in Turkey, protection and use of natural resources policies, economic development and welfare of society, technological progress.
