Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is; recognize the importance of family involvement in pre-school education, be aware of the applications and programs implemented in Turkey for families, to be able to explain the contribution of the family to the socio-cultural development of the child and to recognize parenting styles.

1Define the concept of family. Get the structure and values of the family. Determine the place and importance of the family in pre-school education.
2Evaluate approaches to parental styles
3Evaluate the programs prepared for the education of the families.
4Expand knowledge of "adulthood psychology".
5Describe the importance of family participation in pre-school education.
6Develop new proposals for family education.
7 Identify families with special needs children.
8Evaluate family approach and childrearing approaches in different cultures.

Course Contents
Social structre, social development of culture and human, family definition and structure and values, parenting styles, education programs for families, models and projects, some examples of programs for families have also been applied Turkey, definition of adult and adult learning, adult psychology-adult stages, family theories, family understanding in different cultures and parenting approaches, family participation in preschool education, family education of special needs children.
