Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is; recognize the importance of family involvement in pre-school education, be aware of the applications and programs implemented in Turkey for families, to be able to explain the contribution of the family to the socio-cultural development of the child and to recognize parenting styles.

1Define the concept of family. Get the structure and values of the family. Determine the place and importance of the family in pre-school education.
2Evaluate approaches to parental styles
3Evaluate the programs prepared for the education of the families.
4Expand knowledge of "adulthood psychology".
5Describe the importance of family participation in pre-school education.
6Develop new proposals for family education.
7 Identify families with special needs children.
8Evaluate family approach and childrearing approaches in different cultures.

Course Contents
Basic concepts about family education; the importance, goals and principles of family education; family education models; family theories (Family System Theories, Social Relationship Theory, Bioecological Theory, Structural Functional Theory); Family education practices in Turkey and other countries; planning family education studies, implementation and evaluation; methods and techniques used in family education; family involvement studies (family communication activities, family participation in educational activities, individual interviews, home visits); 0-36 Family Support Education Guide (EBADER) and School Integrated with the Education Program for Monthly Children Examination of the pre-training program and the Integrated Family Support Training Guide (OBADER).
