Objectives of the Course
To develop an understanding of theoretical frameworks used to understand and change exercise behavior, to introduce students to research on individual, interpersonal and environmental factors affecting exercise participation; apply this knowledge to the promotion of physical activity, to examine the link between exercise and psychological well-being and how exercise can be used to improve various aspects of psychological well-being.

1Can use knowledge of psychological factors affecting exercise behavior. Can use knowledge of behavior change theories related to physical activity.
2Can explain and discuss the use of exercise in private groups.
3Can understand and explain the connection between exercise and psychological well-being and how exercise can be used to increase psychological well-being. Can interpret theoretical knowledge in the application environment.
