Course Contents
Definition of special education, basic principles of special education, reasons of disability, the importance of early diagnosis and treatment, historical approach to disability, the characteristics and education of children with mental disability, hearing impaired, visually impaired, physically impaired, children with language and communication disorder, children with an inherited disease, children with special learning disability, children with attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, children with autism and gifted children; education of children, who are growing in a different way, via games, reactions seen in the families of students with special needs, the situation in special education in our country, institutions founded for special education.
