Objectives of the Course

Course Contents
The development of children's literature in the world and Turkey; the importance of the introduction of qualified children's books in the childhood period and the function of children's literature works in the training of sensitive, sensitive individuals who have acquired a reading culture; examination of the features (design, content and educational) that should be included in children's literature; demonstrating examples of unqualified children's books and discussing their negative impact on children's developmental characteristics; studies to determine the suitability of the books read by the pre-service teachers to the children according to their age groups and which developments they will contribute to the development of the children; to determine the contribution of various literary genres (epics, fairy tales, poems, stories, novels, etc.) and linguistic tools (numerical, rhyme, riddle, etc.) to children's development.
