Objectives of the Course
To enable pre-service teachers to use their knowledge and skills related to the music lesson they have acquired at the basic level, to make them comprehend the structural features of the instruments that can be used in basic education, to gain knowledge and skills on methods and techniques for teaching music in basic education.

Course Contents
Music teaching methods and techniques, note teaching techniques, arranging songs for children with orff instruments by making use of rhythm and melody, effective use of the instrument in song teaching, the relationship between play, music, dance, drama and speech, melodica, flute, ukulele, kalimba, drums, cymbals. Gaining the ability to play musical instruments, applications of activities to be performed using instruments in other disciplines

1Course objectives and resources. What is sound? Properties of sound in terms of loudness, duration, loudness and timbre. Elements of musical writing: Note, staff, openwork concepts.
2Unit time, beat, measurement concepts. Working with the second, fourth and eighth note values ​​by using the metronome. Simple two-time measure, measuring, reading exercises.Measuring, melody and rhythm writing. Solfeggio, dictation and rhythmic reading.
