Objectives of the Course
Pre-service teachers the child's body, mind, and understand the properties of language development;which was prepared according to the child's level of development in which children's books to know the basic elements must be present.

1The students will be able to; explain the development of child literature in Turkey and world.
2The students will be able to; evaluate the properties that must be found in child’s books (properties of design and content, educational features).
3The students will be able to; choose the books of lower quality and discuss how they affect children’s development in a bad way.
4The students will be able to; appraise the assistance of various literary varieties (legend, tale, poem, story, novel etc.) for children and linguistic devices (toung twister, riddle etc.) to the development of children.

Course Contents
Development in Turkey and in the world of children's literature. Childhood stage, the importance of quality children's books to meet and function in individuals sensitive to the upbringing of children's literature works. The features of the works of children's literature (design, content, and educational). Unqualified children's books, examples and discussion of their bad effects on children's development.Speaking to the children of various literary genres (epic, tales, poems, short stories, novels, etc.) and linguistic tools (tongue twister, riddles, etc.) to determine the contribution of development of the children
