Objectives of the Course
Aim of this course is to learn changing functions of sport, body and physical education in historical process, policy and philosophy of physical education, in modern times status of physical education.

1The student should be able to explain the purposes for which sporting movements were used in ancient times and the place of their birth in history.
2The student should be able to explain physical education and sports policies and philosophy from past to present.

4The student must be able to explain the history of sports, culturally specific games and organizations in Turks.
5The student should be able to explain the ancient and modern Olympic games and the history of these games.

The use and birth of sports movements in ancient times, sports games in various civilizations, the history of the Olympic games, sports in the Turks, Turkish sports in the republic period, sports organizations in Turkey.
