Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course; To examine the concepts of official curriculum, extracurricular activities and hidden curriculum, to have information about hidden curriculum approaches, to explain the effect of hidden curriculum on cognitive and emotional learning, ceremonies, social cultural activities, rituals, etc. to evaluate the extracurricular activities of the school in the context of the hidden curriculum. In addition, within the scope of the course, it is aimed to support the learning in the formal program and to improve the individual, social, emotional and life skills of the student outside the formal program.

Course Contents
Formal curriculum and extracurricular activities/hidden curriculum concepts in education; approaches to hidden curriculum; cognitive and affective learning and hidden curriculum; school as a place of ritual; school ceremonies as extra-curricular activities at school; the importance and management of social, cultural, sportive and artistic activities at school; the place and importance of the hidden curriculum in values ​​education; In terms of values ​​education, extracurricular activities (commemoration, celebration, meeting, graduation, etc.) will be examined. The content of this course, the definition of extracurricular activities, the use of non-curricular activities in the educational process, the types of non-curricular activities, the effects of non-curricular activities on the sensory characteristics of students, extra-curricular activities and permanent learning, non-curricular activities, hidden curriculum, content of the hidden curriculum processing and individual development (social, emotional, psycho-motor, spiritual, cognitive).
