Objectives of the Course
To examine the process of emergence of Consumer Law as a legal discipline with the developments in the world, to have information about the concept of consumer and the rights of the consumer within the framework of our legislation, to learn consumer transactions and basic consumer contracts, to deliver defective goods and services within the scope of the Law on the Protection of Consumers obtaining information on consumer protection against their presentations, examining consumer organizations tasked with the identification of consumer problems and the protection of the consumer's interest.

Learning Outcomes
1To have the ability to understand the importance of consumer protection in the context of the historical development of consumer health and the world in the contemporary sense.
2To have the ability to determine the concept of goods and services and the concept of consumer and consumer transactions within the scope of consumer legislation.
3To have the ability to comprehend the concepts of defective goods and services, which have an important place in consumer law, and the types of defects, and to evaluate the rights and responsibilities arising from the defective goods and services for the consumer and the provider.
4To have the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge about the various consumer contracts and consum.er protection regulations in the Law
5To have the ability to learn the consumer organizations and organizations responsible and authorized in consumer protection and to determine the authorities to be applied in consumer disputes.

Course Contents
In this course; the birth of consumer law from a historical point of view and its development based on countries and the concept of the consumer within the scope of the Law on the Protection of Consumers and consumer transactions, the concept of defective goods or services and the responsibility arising from defective goods or services, installment sales contracts, consumer credit contracts, distance contracts, contracts established outside the workplace, holiday contracts and subscription contracts such as basic consumer contracts in the Law, The organizations responsible for protecting the interests of the consumer and resolving the disputes arising from it, the consumer arbitration committee, the consumer court and the case requirement mediation will be examined.

9Consumer credit, the definition, types, nature, and elements of the consumer credit contract and the rights and obligations of the parties, credit cards.
10Housing finance contract and prepaid housing sales contract.
11Contracts established outside the workplace; definition, elements, and nature, distance contracts; regulations that protect the consumer by definition, elements, and nature.
12Subscription contracts; definition, types, nature and elements, and regulations that protect the consumer in subscription contracts.
13Contracts for holiday purposes; timeshare and timeshare contracts, package tour contracts.
14Regulations aimed at informing the consumer, deceptive advertising, and after-sales services.
15Consumer arbitration committee, consumer courts, and litigation charter mediation in the resolution of disputes arising from consumer transactions.
