Objectives of the Course
To introduction basic concepts of hydrographic surveying, the importance of hydrography in engineering, to teach and apply basic methods employed for the solution of problems about hydrographic surveying.

1to learn general properties of submarine maps and hydrographic maps
2to understand vertical datum definition and installation of mareograph stations and hardwares at mareograph stations
3to know classical depth surveying (Bathymetry)
4to learn depth surveying (Bathymetry) with hydrostatic, thermometric, and acoustic and lidar technique
5to learn positioning survey techniques and geodetic point setting up
6Advanced lidar, multibeam sonar and sidescan sonar techniques and up-to-date applications
