To gain knowledge and skills about children with special needs and their general characteristics. To gain information about the reasons for special needs, diagnosis and education. Gaining knowledge about mainstreaming applications. To gain knowledge about working with families.

1Explain the definition of the term special education and the area it covers.
2Explains the characteristics of children with special needs.
3It gives information about the past and present of special education practices in our country.
4It tells how fusion practices are carried out.
5Explains special education support services by giving examples.
6It specifies step by step what needs to be done for the mainstreaming student.
7It defines the general characteristics of individuals with different characteristics such as mental retardation, giftedness, learning disability, emotional and behavioral disorder, hearing disability, visual disability, severe and multiple disability, and physical disability.
8It gives information about the causes of the diseases of children with special needs. - It gives information about the classification of children with special needs. -Gives information about the prevalence rates of children with special needs. -Gives information about the education of children with special needs.
