At the end of this course, the student will gain the ability to think freely; will know the basic sociological issues that sociologists are interested in today; will be able to analyze their own society and different societies; will better understand the social world.

Determining the definition of sociology with historical, empirical and analytical approaches; the place of sociology in social sciences; general and concise knowledge of methodology in sociology; basic concepts explaining the structural features of interpersonal relations, societies and groups: social system; social structure; social role; social status; social organization; social institution; social stratification; social change; social disintegration; social integration; culture, value, norm, socialization and personality.
