Objectives of the Course
To prepare the necessary substructure for dimensioning of objects under load, to give basic concepts about strength calculations to be encountered in design problems, to show engineering applications of calculations, to enable them to use in solving engineering problems
Name of Lecturer(s)
Öğr. Gör. Serkan ALTIN
Learning Outcomes
1The geometric properties of planar shapes will be recognized.
2It will calculate the cross-sectional effects in the bearing systems.
3It will distinguish two basic types of stress.
4Using internal forces and moments, it will calculate the various types of stresses resulting from them.
5In static uncertain systems, it will calculate unknown force and shape changes.
6It will optimize safety and economy items in engineering.
