Students, graphic elements and universal rules of graphic composition, dot, line, plane, rhythm and balance, size, texture and pattern, color, shape-ground relationship, image semiology and framing, content and hierarchy, layers, transparency, modularity, grid systems learn basic graphic design concepts such as symmetry and asymmetry, diagram, time and motion, rules and irregularity by examining through graphic products and examples. Examples of national and international graphic design products are presented to students. In the second half of the semester, students get acquainted with terminology, graphic products and media (poster, brochure, magazine and book cover, spatial graphs, info graphics, advertising graphics (on-line and underline advertising graphics, advertisement, outdoor, point of sale display materials etc.).
