Objectives of the Course
Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) provides place and time saving in parallel with technological developments. So, goal of this course is primarily to make student understand and use the principals of technical drawing and the CAD Programs (Autocad). Under this scope, basis Autocad commands (e.g, Line, Trim, Chamfer, Fillet, Hatch, UCS, etc.) will be mentioned throughout the lecture. Saving and plotting the drawings will also be mentioned.

Course Contents
The definition of Technical Drawing, presenting and explaining of tools used in technical drawing, drawing of basic geometric shapes, the definition of projection, projection types, projection of point, line, plane and geometric shapes, principles of orthographic view, defining and drawing of principal views, drawing of shapes expressed with 1,2, and 3 views, types and rules of dimensioning, definition of CAD, properties of CAD Programs, Fundemental properties of Autocad 2000, learning the use of drawing toolbar and commands, definition of snap and grid, snaping and using the characteristic point of objects, learning the use of dimension toolbar and commands, learning the use of modify toolbar and commands, definition and using of Coordinat systems, rules and types of sections, layers and their usage.

2The definition of projection, Projection Types, Central Projection, Parallel Projection, Projection Planes, Projection of Point, Projection of Normal Lines, projection of oblique Lines, Projection of Planes, Projection of some objects.
3Principals of Orthographic view, defining and drawing of front, side and top view of objects, 1st Angel and 3rd Angel projection Methods.
4Objects Described with 1, 2 and 3 view, Section Views, full and Half Sections.
5Principals of Dimension, features and Components of Dimension (Dimension text, line, arrow, Extension line), Types of Dimension (e.g. serial, parallel), symbols added to dimensios.
6What is CAD?, features of CAD Programs, Running the Autocad, opening and closing the Autocad, saving an Autocad File, Autocad Screen, File Menus and Toolbars, Working in Command Line.
7Commands of Drawing Toolbar (Line, Construction Line, Ray, Xray, Multyline ,Polyline, Polygon, Rectangle, Arc, Circle, Ellipes), Loading and using Line Types.
8Objesnap Toolbar, OSNAP command, Snap and grid Settings, OSNAP modes(Endpoint, Midpoint, Centerpoint, Quadrants, Intersection and Extension Points, Perpendicular, Parralel).
9Dimension Toolbar, Baseline, Aligned, Radius, Diameter, angular, Dimension edit, Dimension Text Edit.
10Modify Toolbar(Erase, copy object, Mirror, offset, array, move, rotate, trim, extend, chamfer, fillet,explode).
11Coordinat Systems; World Coordinat, User Coordinat System, UCS Command, Object ucs, face ucs, Entering a point in polar and Cartesian Coordinat System.
12Section Rules and Types, Adjusting Section Lines and Features, Hatch Command, Defining the Hatching Area.
13Edit Hatch, Edit polyline, edit multiline,edit spline.
14Layers, Assign an object to Layer, General Control fo Layers, Assign Line type to Layer.
