| Level of Course Unit | Short Cycle | Objectives of the Course | To introduce students to the subject, methods and concepts of sociology, enable them to analyze social events from a sociological perspective, teach the basic concepts of sociology (society, culture, role, class, etc.) and the relationships between these concepts, provide information about the historical development process of sociology and important sociological thinkers, introduce the sub-branches of sociology, develop a sociological perspective in students to analyze and interpret social events, gain a critical perspective on social changes and developments, teach the contributions of sociology to understanding people and societies. | Name of Lecturer(s) | Öğr.
