Objectives of the Course
The course objectives are; to know the basic concepts related to measurement and evaluation, to use the basic statistical techniques, to determine the validity and reliability of the measurement tools, to know the measurement tools used in measuring cognitive, affective and psycho-motor behaviors, to know the stages of test development and to make item and test analysis on apllication results, to know the alternative assesment tecniques.

1The students will be able to Know the basic concepts of the measurement and evaluation.
2The students will be able to Know the importance and the principles of the measurement and evaluation in education
3The students will be able to Know the psychometric attributions (validity, reliability) of the measures.
4The students will be able to Apply the appropriate measurement and evaluation methods to determine the students’ levels of acquisition to learning outcomes and misconceptions in the related field of study.
5The students will be able to By calculating and interpreting the descriptive statistics for test scores, specify the groups of students in terms of the measured social or psychological attribution.
6The students will be able to Calculate and interpret the standart scores.

Measuring and evaluation concepts, basic statistical techniques, reliability and validity comparison of measurement, objective analysis and content table, test development, exam types and question writing, written and oral exams, short answer and true-false tests, multiple choice and matching tests, evaluation of student achievement, alternative assessments.
