Objectives of the Course
Öğretim teknolojilerinin alan eğitimine entegrasyonu konusunda öğretmen adaylarını bilgi sahibi yapmak, öğretim teknolojilerinin ve materyallerin öğrenme ve öğretmedeki yeri ve önemi hakkında bilgi kazandırmak, öğretmen adaylarına öğretimde kullanabilecekleri materyalleri tasarlama, geliştirme ve uygulama becerisi kazandırmak, bilgisayar destekli öğretim konusunda yöntem ve teknik bilgisi kazandırmak.

Course Contents
Historical development of instructional technologies. Importance of instructional technology in communication process. Instrucitonal materials. Properties of the materials used in education. Designing materials based on the learning outcomes. Preparing instructional materials by using computer technology.

1 Explanation of foundational concepts about instructional technologies.
2 Characteristics of modern instructional technologies (IT), place and the use of IT in the process of teaching.
3Identifying the technolgy needs of school and the classroom, technology planning and its applications, the level of the use of IT in Turkey and in the world.
4Identifying the technolgy needs of school and the classroom, technology planning and its applications, the level of the use of IT in Turkey and in the world.
5Factors affecting teachers' selection of teaching-and learning materials.
6Development of instructional materials (concept maps, cognitive maps, work-sheets, activity design, over-head transparancies, slides, visual media (VCD, DVD) materials, computer based mateials).
7 Evaluation of educational software, and theoretical information about evaluation of various instructional materials.
8 Midterm exam.
9 The use of internet in education, and benefits of distance education.
10Developing overhead transparancies and presentations.
11 'nd.Midterm Exam/Evaluations and discussions about student developed and presented (work-sheets, two - three dimensional) teaching and learning materials.
12 Development of computer based instructional materials (power-point, movie maker etc) and presentation.
13Evaluation of presented computer based instructional materials.
