Objectives of the Course
The first appearence of theatre, the ideas on theatre. Antique period theatre, Roman theatre, the beginning of modern Turkish theatre and traditional Turkish theatre.

Course Contents
The history of world and Turkish literature, differences and similarities between them. Significant play writers and their works of art. The importance of significant plays in world theatre. Example play readings.
