Objectives of the Course
To understand the historical development and characteristics of ancient Turkish literature, to introduce well known poets and authors together with their works, to introduce the culture of the related periods through poetry and prose.

Course Contents
The nature of ancient Turkish literature, concept area; main features of Divan literature, major types and important representatives; examination studies on selected texts from 15th-16th century Turkish Literature. Studies that indicate the perspective about language, social situation and the world view of the period.
