Objectives of the Course
Students will acquire the competence in scientific methods to deal with Kalamic problems including Islamic faith and belief principles.

1The student comprehend the relation of Islamıc belief and thought with historical events.
2He understands the role of environmental factors in formation of religious thought.
3He perceives religious factors in relations amongs religious sects and their point of views to each other.
4He perceives the relation between religion and sect and so he finds a possibility to make a religious viewpoint.
5He acquires an ability of comparison between differences in history of Islamic thought and contemporary structures of thoughts.

In this course, the history of kalam as prophet and sahabi period, early period as aqaid and mu´tazilah, Ashari and Maturidit sect and scholars, mutaqaddimun, mutaahhirun and new Kalam period will be dealt with
