Objectives of the Course
The course aims to provide the students with a general knowledge on basic concepts of law and what is law, to enable them to understand and to explain specifically juridical and political events in Turkey and in the world.

Learning Outcomes
1i. They can learn the basic concepts of law.
2ii. They will be able to comprehend the general principles of the Turkish legal system, social order and law, other rules and legal rules regulating social life, the definition of law, the sources of law, the birth and implementation of law, the divisions of law, the distinction between public law and private law.
3iii. They can do case studies.
4iv. They can determine the rules of law to be applied in the resolution of legal disputes.
5v. They can prepare and present an example event.

Social order and law, extra-legal rules and law, definitions of law, sources of law, genesis and practices of law, part/chapters of law, public and private law, general principles of the Turkish legal system within the framework of the 1982 Constitution.
