Objectives of the Course
To explain general principles and basic concepts of constitutional law. To teach developments in constitutional law, from late Ottoman Empire to today. It is intended that students should reason on decisions of Constitutional Court.

Learning Outcomes
1Students will learn general principles of constitutional law by comparing Western liberal democracies.
2Ottoman-Turkish constitutional developments will be reviewed around concepts described above
3Students can evaluate the decisions of the Constitutional Court and will be able to discuss current constitutional issues.

Course Contents
Students will examine the basic concepts of constitutional law. These concepts will be presented in the contexr of constitutional developments during late Ottoman Empire period and Republican period.
