Main concepts related with logistics and supply chain management, main similarities and differences between logistics and supply chain management.

1The concepts of logistics and its importance; logistics subjects: material, spare parts, product, workforce and information logistics; main concepts related with logistics.
2Logistics areas: inbound, production and outbound logistics, relations between those areas.
3The role of logistics in business organization; types of logistics organization; main logistics activities, general purpose (the rights) of logistics.
4The definition of logistics system, the classification and the camparison of logistics systems, the purposes of logistics system.
5Definitions of logistics management, supply chain and supply chain management, similarities and differences between logistics, supply chain and supply chain management.
6Types of supply chain; the bullwhip effect in supply chain: its importance, its reasons, its results and precautions that can be taken against the bullwhip effect.
7The costs occured in supply chain; the concept of warehouse management: types of warehouses, purposes, plant location choises; handling and packaging transactions.

9Inbound logistics and its management; supply strategies, relations with suppliers and the supplier selection, the importance of time and quality in supply.
10Production logistics and its management; affecting factors; its scope; MRP and MRP II; OPT, Kanban; JIT-Production.
11Outbound logistics and its management; the scope, distribution channels; management of distribution network; plant location problem; issues related with product and spare part transportation; route planning.
12The role and importance of information management in supply chain management.
13Outsourcing in supply chain management: 3PL and 4PL concepts.
14Evaluation of supply chain performance: the performance measures used.
15Aggregate evaluation: Discussions about the information gathered in the class of logistics and supply chain management and questions.
