Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to explain the concept of law, to differentiate the branches of law, to give general information. about the branches of law, and to create a general framework about the basic concepts of law such as judicial organization, personality, debt, legal event.

Learning Outcomes
1They can learn the importance of law, its place in society and basic concepts.
2They can understand the rules of social order, the differences and relationships between these rules, the definition of law, the characteristics of legal rules, the sources of law, the judicial organization, the classification of branches of law, and the principles that dominate the Turkish Legal system.
3They can conduct case studies to better understand theoretical information.
4They can understand the application of legal rules, how rights are protected and the resolution of legal disputes.
5They can prepare and present a case study to put their knowledge into practice.

Course Contents
Social order rules and features, legal rules and features, sources of law, classification of branches of law, branches of public law, branches of private law, legal principles in general in the Turkish Legal System, judicial organization, concept and types of rights, concept and types of cases, legal events and transactions, the concept and types of legal acts, the concepts of debt and responsibility, the concepts of inheritance and ownership, the concept of sanction.

9Explaining the concept of rights, giving information about the types of rights, the subject of gaining and losing rights, legal events, concepts and types of legal transactions.
10Ways of protecting rights, explanation of the right to sue and types of cases
11General framework, branches and functioning of the judicial organization
12Giving information about the concept of personality, protection of personality, beginning and ending of personality.
13Explaining the capacity to have rights, explaining the capacity to act, giving information about the types of capacity, kinship, place of residence
14Explaining the concept of responsibility, giving information about the types of responsibility, the concept of legal responsibility, financial responsibility and criminal liability.
15Giving information about the concepts of engagement, marriage and divorce, which are among the important concepts in civil law, and their legal consequences.
