It is aimed to perform 2D and 3D modeling of buildings and to provide necessary information about static and dynamic analysis.

1Will be able to learn Finite Element Method for building models and determine the boundary conditions of the structure.
2Will be able to learn modern building analysis programs for numerical modeling and analysis of building elements.
3Will be able to analyze different structural problems with the help of the structural analysis program.
4Will be able to determine the condition of the structure depending on the analysis results.

Course Contents
Matrix methods in the analysis of structural systems. Introduction to the finite element method. 2D and 3D Mathematical Dimensioning of Structures. Introduction of general purpose structure analysis programs such as SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, ANSYS. Dimensioning of structures with static and dynamic analysis using package programs.
