After comprehending the behavior and basic principles of reinforced concrete, it is aimed to teach information about the calculation of beam and column sections according to the section effects (section control and section determination).

1The student will have basic information about reinforced concrete behavior.
2The student will reinforce their existing knowledge about the mechanical and material properties of the materials that make up the reinforced concrete.
3The student will gain a general awareness of carrier systems.
4The student can derive the necessary relations for the section bearing capacity calculation and design.
5Students can make cross-section calculations of beams and columns under the influence of different internal forces.
6The student can use the regulations and standards required to design reinforced concrete elements.
7The student will gain awareness about the problems they may encounter in practice and have information about the solutions.
