To explain the importance of geologic in terms of civil engineering, to recognize the basic concepts of earth sciences in the basic perspective of civil engineering.

Definition, subdisciplines of geology, formation, structure and composition of earth's crust; Physical and chemical properties of minerals and minerals; Rocks, structure of rocks; Topographic maps and section extraction; Geological maps and section extraction; Earthquakes, earthquake geology; Mass movements; Hydrogeology; Tunnel and transportation geology; Dam geology.

12Mass movements and landslides, causes, types and classification of mass movements
13Hydrogeology (The topic of hydrogeology, the presence and movement of groundwater, types of aquifer, the engineering importance of groundwater)
