First Cycle
Objectives of the Course
By giving basic concepts about Fluid Mechanics, to understand the properties of fluids, hydrostatic, kinematics of fluids and flow types.
Name of Lecturer(s)
Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Ruşen SINIR
Learning Outcomes
1 Pressure variations in the stationary fluid will be determined.
2 The forces applied on the plane and curvilinear surfaces by stationary fluids will be calculated.
3 The mass equation can be applied to a flow system in order to be able to balance inputs or outputs.
4 The Bernoulli equation can be used to solve different flow problems.
5 By applying the impulse-momentum equation, the effects of fluids on solid surfaces surrounding fluids can be determined.
6 Experiments can be carried out in hydraulic laboratories to find continuous and local load losses in pipelines.
