Objectives of the Course
Beginning from the Prehistoric Ages, the stages concerning the processes of art in Egypt, Mesopotamia, Anatolian Civilizations, Crete, Mycenaean, Greek, Hellenistic, Etruscan, Roman, pre-medieval eastern and Middle Eastern cultures are introduced. The ways in which cultural processes, especially cultural diffusionism, affect stylistic features among these civilizations; It can be solved through architectural, plastic and handicrafts and supported by visual materials.

Presentation of the resources to be used in the course. Defining the basic concepts and terms in art history. The similarities and differences between art, history, art history, aesthetics, culture, civilization, abstraction, material cultural existence, work of art. The invention of art.
