Objectives of the Course
To learn the basic concepts, theories, methods and historical process of management related to the formation, structuring, working and management of an organization; To be a successful manager is to create the necessary information infrastructure about management and organizational management.

1Having theoretical, historical and functional knowledge in the field of Management Science and gaining the ability to use this knowledge interdisciplinary and to conduct research in the field of management,
2Gaining the ability to compare and evaluate all management approaches from traditional to contemporary and today's practices,
3To have knowledge about the complex organizational structures of today's world and the techniques used in management, management processes,
4To have the ability to use the acquired knowledge about management in producing solutions to the managerial problems that he will encounter in his life
5It is to have the basic knowledge infrastructure and self-expression skills that a manager should have, thanks to the information taken from the universal principles of management to the legal administrative dimension.

Course Contents
In this course; basic concepts related to management, historical process of management phenomenon, management theories, management functions, contemporary management techniques, private management, public administration similarities, differences, problems and solutions in the management process will be examined.

4Management Theories; Traditional, Neoclassical, Contemporary Management Theory
5Universal and environmental elements of management
6Management Functions; Planning (Definition, benefits, features, stages, types of plans, development of planning in Turkey)
7Management Functions; Organization (Definition, characteristics, types, stages), Specialization and unit management, Organization charts, Central and local administration organizations
8Midterm exam
9Management Functions; Execution/Management (Conceptual framework, Manager and intra-organizational relations, Elements of the executive, Duties of the Manager, practices of senior management)
10Management Functions; (Importance, Definition, Principles and Types of Coordination)
11Management Functions; Auditing (Definition, scope, audit reasons, audit time, stages, audit techniques, types. Management theories and audit approaches.)
12Other Management Functions; Human Resources Management, Communication, Budgeting
13Organization and Management Problems Encountered in Organizations (Organization and management problems, bureaucracy, technocracy, meritocracy, stationery and its drawbacks)
