Objectives of the Course
The objective of this course is to introduce the general principles and methods of plant protection in organic farming, the legal and certification aspects and the ecological methods used for control of plant diseases and pests in organic crops

Learning Outcomes
1To learn the “organic agriculture” system and its basic principles To comprehend the organic production steps other than conventional production method. To learn importance of the Legislative methods; quarantine, certification and regulations in organic culture To learn cultural methods in soil to prevent the soil-borne, seed-borne and foliar pathogens in organic culture.
2To learn biological control methods and products To learn the use alternative control methods instead of chemical control methods To be able to diagnose the problems of organic farming in the region and the country swiftly and correctly.
