| Level of Course Unit | First Cycle | Objectives of the Course | The aims of this course are to develop an understanding of students about the necessity of art education in individuals intellectual and emotional development; to gain them basic knowledge and skills on teaching the discipline based art education practices; to provide them a comprehension on the graphical developmental features of children and their drawings; to gain them a basic knowledge and skills on integrating arts into other disciplines and creativity. | Name of Lecturer(s) | Öğr. İsmail BİRLİK | Learning Outcomes | 1 | Obtain the necessary knowledge and skills on four disciplines of art education: Art philosophy and aesthetics, art history, art criticism and art production. | 2 | Describe the developmental stages of childrens drawings and analyze them. | 3 | İntegrate the other disciplines (i.e. science, maths, Turkish etc.), by doing this they will understand the idea of learning in and through art. | 4 | Plan art activities that differentiate visual, auditory and tactile perception | 5 | Describe and understand the concept of creativity, features of creative person and development of creativity. |
