Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide students attending the classroom teaching undergraduate program with basic information about the games and physical activities course in the primary school curriculum, to raise awareness about the issues that should be taken into consideration in the use of both physical activity and educational games in primary schools, and to teach candidate teachers the games they can teach their students. In addition, it is also aimed to teach strategies and techniques that can be used in the course.

What is the game? What are the main features of the game? The importance of the game, especially for primary school students. Effects of play on developmental areas. The use of games in primary school education. Educational game types and features. Game selection and planning. The place and importance of educational games in sports and interdisciplinary education. Leadership and game management. Game teaching. Diversification of the game. The role of discipline in the game. Use of reward and punishment in games. Games that improve attention, strength, and endurance, and their basic features. Basic features of games that develop speed and coordination. Gaming applications. Measurement and evaluation in physical education and game teaching courses.
