Objectives of the Course
Aims of this course is to provide theoretical knowledge about basic concepts, principles, classifications, approaches and models of character and values education and planning, practising and evaluating values education activities to teachers.

2Classify values.
3Know character and values education approaches, models and Moral development theories.
4Explain effect of the hidden curriculum in values education.
5Examine different values education curriculums and give examples of teaching methods and techniques and evaluation approaches that used in values education.
6Plan, practice and evaluate values education activities by using different values teaching approaches.

Conceptual framework: Character, personality, value, virtue, morality, temperament, mood and etc .; character development and education; family, environment and school in character development and education; definition and classification of values; types of values and individual, social, cultural, religious, moral bases; character and value education approaches and practices; culture of intercultural differentiation and coexistence in character and value education; character and value education in terms of educational philosophy and goals; teaching methods and techniques in character / value education; values crisis and education in modern and multicultural societies; value education in the human-cultural development process; Turkey examples about the value of education and cultural history education, practice and research values education in Turkey; teacher as a role model in character and value education.
