Objectives of the Course
To comprehend the importance of Turkish lesson in primary schools; Explaining the basic concepts and principles of teaching Turkish; MEB Turkish Course Curriculum (Primary and Secondary School Grades 1-8); To be able to use appropriate methods and techniques, tools and materials and evaluation techniques in Turkish teaching; To evaluate Turkish textbooks and texts in these books; Designing daily plans for Turkish lessons; To be aware of the importance of the course, to participate in the events voluntarily, to benefit from the sources effectively, to prepare their reports and plans are intended.

Course Contents
Modern methods and techniques that can be used in teaching Turkish; development of reading, writing, listening, speaking and comprehension skills; identification and elimination of reading difficulties; structure of reading texts; teaching poems, informative and narrative texts, reading and writing between texts; questions and types related to the formation of meaning from texts, development of vocabulary, media literacy (visual reading and presentation), reading and use of technology, meaning of texts; developing critical thinking through reading and writing; fast reading and techniques; main ideas teaching and methods; aims, types and rules of reading; evaluation of reading, writing, listening, speaking and understanding; The examination of the elementary school Turkish program and its relations with other courses will be covered.
