To introduce original works of poetry and drama, To make students take pleasure in reading poetry and drama, To present the literary terms necessary for analyzing poetry and drama, To stimulate the students into thinking and then writing/speaking about poetry and drama.

Course Contents
In this course, poems and examples from drama are analyzed in order to see what makes a poem or drama different from the other literary genres by focusing on the figures of speech prominent in those texts.
