Objectives of the Course |
The main aim is to comprehend that Sociology science examines the relations of the elements that make up the society. The aim is to facilitate the solution of social problems of education and to explain that education will not be independent of society. |

Understanding the basic concepts of sociology such as society, social group, social structure, social phenomenon, social event, socialization, norms
Being informed about the pioneering and founding sociologists (Ibn Khaldun, A. Comte, K. Marx, E. Durkheim, M. Weber etc.) and examining their views in terms of educational sociology
Sociological approaches (functionalism, structuralism, symbolic interactionism, conflict theory, critical theory, phenomenology and ethnomethodology) and education
social processes (socialization, social stratification, social mobility, social change, etc.) and education; social institutions (family, religion, economy, politics) and education; The development of sociology and sociology of education in Turkey (Ziya Gökalp, İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu, Hilmi Ziya Ülken, Erol Güngör, Nurettin Topçu, Mümtaz Turhan etc.),
