Objectives of the Course
To enable pre-service teachers to gain awareness of the function and importance of museums, and to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills on how to use the works of art exhibited in museums in reading and interpreting past cultures and civilizations.

Defining concepts such as aesthetics, creativity, art criticism and art history; from the beginning examining examples of works of art that have been revealed in different cultures and periods until today; a contemporary understanding of art and aesthetics; museum and its function; museum in social studies importance of educational use; social studies teaching practices in the museum.
